About Judaism

Judaism

Judaism was traditionally founded by Moses approximately 3300 years ago, Abraham (the patriarch) is though, also seen as a founder of the Jews.

Judaism is spread all over the world in a migration.

Judaism is divided into two major parts. The first has ancestors that are originally from Europe, they are called Ashkenazi, their originally dialect is German (also known as Yiddish). The other group is called Sephardic; they have used a Spanish dialect called Ladino.

One of the sacred places of Judaism is the Western Wall in Jerusalem (also known as the “Wailing Wall).

At this wall, Jews (men and women separated) can be found wailing over the loss of their second temple, and praying. They believe that this is the one place where God will really listen to their prayers.

The Wailing Wars map coordinates are 31.776656° N, 35.234238° E.

You can see how they wail and pray in front of the wall here:

Judaism is one of the bigger religions, but it is biggest in North America and Israel. A lot of Jews used to live in Russia, but many of them have immigrated to the States or Israel.

Under the Second World War millions of Jews lost their life, if not this had happened the diagram would have shown something different.

I think this Rabbi gives a good explanation of what Judaism is. Take a look:
